I’m pretty big on thank you’s. Maybe it’s because I have a lot to be grateful for. Maybe it’s because I find counting my blessings is a quick way to get me out of a funk and keep complaining over the little (and big things) at bay. This week, as I have mailed the last of my thank you cards for beautiful birthday gifts, delivered a gorgeous bouquet of flowers for a wonderfully hosted dinner by my aunt, and will be picking up a bottle of wine as a thank you to a friend hosting dinner this weekend, it became evident that you simply Can’t LIVE Without Expressing Gratitude!

Unless the person has allergies or a deep disdain for them, a beautiful bouquet of flowers is a great gift of thanksgiving. I’m a huge fan of flowers from the farmers market or Trader Joe’s.

A bottle of wine to help the hostess or host to unwind is usually greatly appreciated. I’ve yet to gift a bottle of bubbly and not see the person’s face bubble with cheer.

I think you already know how much I enjoy writing. Bu I actually enjoy writing. I mean literally pen to paper. So, it’s not uncommon for me to take a moment and pullout some carefully selected or designed stationary and send a note to a friend to say hello and express my gratitude.

I have such a sweet tooth and when people do things that are sweet…I like to gift them something sweet. Now, depending upon the recipient I may just bake them something myself. Or I will take a trip to one of my favorite bakeries and pick up a little something.
How do you express your gratitude?
Let me know!
