Can’t LIVE Without…. Restaurant Week Philadelphia!!!

I should have said I can’t LIVE without good food. Because I can’t. But that’s another post. This week in the grand old city of brotherly love it is restaurant week. That means lots of amazing restaurants around the city boast of delicious pre fixed three, four, and five course meals for the gracious price of $35.00. Restaurant week has been a tradition that started years ago with a few of my girlfriends in the fall and then in recent years my dad and I go during the winter restaurant week. This week I am sharing some of the fabulous restaurants I have gone to during restaurant week and since it’s only Wednesday Philly folk, you’ve got til Friday to enjoy restaurant week and let me know how delicious it was! I can’t LIVE Without Restaurant Week! xxoo

I’m not a red meat eater, but I do enjoy fish and chicken and at Chima they keep that coming as plentiful as they do various cuts of steak and lamb. Not to mention a loft salad bar with all kinds of veggies, salads, and soups. Plus they bring great side dishes to the table including yucca fries, garlic masked potatoes, fried bananas, and buttered pastries. Not to mention the service. The service at Chima at this location is fantastic!

So the first time I went here was the day they opened and  I have been back at least five times since they opened two years ago. It’s on the 37th floor of the Liberty Place with a stunning view of the city, an extensive and delicious wine selection, and of course  wonderful food, including rabbit tacos.
These are just a few of the restaurants that have participated in restaurant week in Philadelphia that I wanted to highlight. Trust me I have been to many more and there are many more I hope to dine at.

Happy Restaurant Weeking!

The Cooperage is yummy! Even though I live in the South now, I have to say the best Shrimp & Grits I've ever had were there in Philly.
