The Simply I’ll Get Back To You Life

I used to struggle with saying no. It was a hard word to say. Super easy to spell but easy to say, not so much. Yet as the semester and year winds down yet so many things in my professional and personal life kicking it up a notch I am embracing the phrase “I’ll get back to you.” It gives me a moment to think about the decision and chose one that works best for me. Sounds a smidge selfish I know, but I’m a mortal (see last Monday’s post) so I got limits and need to make sure that I honor them and work within them.

With that being said, this week on the blog is an I’ll Get Back to You week. It’s one where the opportunity to support my students in using their voice, passion, and creativity to address the social injustices across our nation and prejudices on campus has presented itself and I in turn have made the choice to take advantage of the opportunity. It’s a choice that will result in a little less writing/posting this week and changing things up, using my voice to support, inspire, and create change with others through action and interaction as opposed to via writing. So, if you’re curious about what I’m up to and what my students are up to just check out my social media pages, they will be full of updates and next Monday, I’ll get back to you. I promise! xxoo
